After reviewing holiday trends for 2010 it became apparent that holiday makers in the UK are intending to travel abroad and stay and rent accommodation. Hotels are out for 2010 and the recent recession will not stop their plans from holidaying this year. Cyprus as a holiday destination is in the top ten to benefit from these overseas holiday makers.
UK holiday polls showed that up to 90% of holiday makers will travel abroad in 2010 with less actually taking holidays at home. Many people will be renting apartments for the first time instead of booking package holidays including hotel accommodation.
2009 was a very bad year for European tourism however, if we take the UK polls in to consideration, then landlords take heed and start getting your rental properties spic and span for 2010.
Cyprus is undergoing major development with new marinas in each coastal town, a major theme park is expected and an overall upgrade is going on as we speak. I think it is safe to say we are on track for this hopeful surge in tourism.
