Lawyers in Cyprus – Review – Cyprus Will – Completed on 4th February 2010.

CYPRUS LAWYERS ADVISE TO MAKE YOUR CYPRUS WILL

Making a Will in Cyprus could not be simpler.  However, it is a vital deed that many people both local and foreign neglect to do.  Resulting in assets intended for their loved ones, unfortunately being dictated under the Cyprus Law and granted to other parties.  Thus, leaving intended loved ones financially deprived at a time they are most vulnerable.

Under Cyprus Law and when there is no Cyprus Will to administer, a certain amount will consequentially bequeath to the spouse and the rest will be divided between the children and other relatives. It will not automatically be passed to the spouse or the children solely.

Here at A&G Kouzali Law Office, International Property Lawyers based in Paralimni Cyprus, are trained staff who specialize in this area. We will advise you on how to deal with your assets, as well as assist in the preparation of your Will and the Creation of Trusts. We can also act as executor and administrator of the deceased estate.

All members of staff at A&G Kouzali Law Office have extensive experience and impressive levels of skill, along with up to date knowledge on all new developments of the Law.

We strongly advise all persons to invest in a Cyprus Will and protect the people you love for that inevitable time when they will need help the most.

Mr. Giovannis Kouzali is one of the most respected Cyprus Lawyers in Paralimni Cyprus, and has great interest and involvement in the Famous Parthenon Marbles. These marbles are sculptures that were single handily chiseled on to the Parthenon Temple, which was situated on the Acropolis, Athens. There were 3 types of carvings each hand crafted for the Temple.

The Metopes were carvings hand crafted directly, high up on the four outside walls of the Temple. Each side had a different mythical theme but each carving was individual. In all there were 92 sculptures, 32 on the front and back and 14 on each side.

The pediment Statues, were individual statues placed at each side of the Temple and each statue represented a different legend. However, the most magnificent piece in the Temple was the statue of Goddess Athena, which stood 40 feet tall inside the Temple. Unfortunately, the Goddess of Athena statue did not survive the ancient times.

The Frieze was a long extended monument of approximately 534 feet in length and consisting of 115 different panels. Presented on the frieze was the parade to the Temple, on the day of the Panathenaic Festival.

The Turkish military raided and took control of the Temple.  During their occupation The English Earl of Elgin, plundered the Temple and removed as many sculptures as he possibly could from the walls, grounds and inside the Temple. They were then sold to the English Authorities.

At least half of the Parthenon sculptures are standing in the British museum and the other half in Athens. However, the Greek Government are negotiating this issue with the British Government as it is widely believed that the Parthenon Marbles should be placed all together and returned to their rightful home of Acropolis, Athens.

A & G Kouzali Cyprus Lawyers based in Paralimni, Cyprus fully support the return of the Marbles back to Athens.
