An Chipir dlíodóirí Maoine - athbhreithniú a dhéanamh - An Chipir Teideal Gníomhas Athchóirithe Moilleanna

Tar éis an chonspóid go léir os cionn an teideal gníomhas ceisteanna, agus an phráinn a cheapadh ar an 5 reachtaíocht nua chun foirm a nós imeachta ghníomhas teidil nua, táimid fós aon níos dlúithe a réiteach.

Ní mór dúinn, áfach, maidir le hiarrachtaí an tUasal Syliotis Chipir Interior Aire mar chuid iarrachtaí chun an cheist seo a bheith gan íoc. D'fhéadfadh sé a bheith mar aon am le teacht, ach ó bhí an chonspóid a bhris amach an tUasal Syliotis tuirseach i ndáiríre tá a dhícheall go bhfuil an cheist a réiteach chomh luath agus is féidir.

An tUasal Syliotis slammed le déanaí ar an teach na parlaiminte Básanna ag éileamh go raibh moill ar an reachtaíocht. Táimid chun iad outraged amháin go bhfuil a thuilleadh moille soiléir. Cén fáth a mbeadh Básanna ag iarraidh a moill straitéise seo ó theacht i bhfeidhm chomh luath agus is féidir? Cad is féidir chúis bhailí ann ar feadh tréimhse nach mian leo a outrage poiblí a chur chun suain?

An bhliain seo caite go raibh muid ag fanacht in oirchill do na 5 reachtaíochtaí a chur ar aghaidh ansin go n-inseofar go raibh moill mar gheall ar lochtanna sa billí agus plé a bheadh atosú tar éis an tsosa tsamhraidh i mí Mheán Fómhair.

Táimid anois i mí Aibreáin 2011 agus táimid behold íseal agus arís eile á insint 2 de 5 billí nach bhfuil réidh go fóill.

Tá sé seo an-deacair a cheapadh. Ní bheidh an t-athchóiriú nua hamháin go gcuideoidh sé na mílte Homeowners, soiléir leis an logáil isteach ar ais na mílte taiscthe i bhfeidhm agus a eisiúint gníomhais teidil, ach beidh sé a thionscnamh freisin in céadta mílte euro gach bliain ag cabhrú leis an ngeilleagar Chipir.

Táimid ag iarraidh ar an Básanna thar barr amach cad é an chúis atá leis seo ba mhaith linn buíochas a fháil?

Ba mhaith linn buíochas a ghabháil leis an Uasal Syliotis do chuid iarrachtaí. Braithimid go bhfuil sé an polaiteoir amháin a iarracht rud éigin a dhéanamh! Tugaimid tacaíocht dó agus leanfaimid orainn ag an troid don Chipir Teideal Ghníomhas Athchóirithe go dtí go poiblí i réim an cheartais.

Comhairleoirí Dlí sa Chipir - Athbhreithniú - Foréigean Baile

Léimid déanaí alt i nuachtán Chipir tosaigh maidir le foréigean baile. Is ábhar é seo a bhraitheann muid an-láidir faoi, agus chomh maith bhraitheann Ní mór níos mó a dhéanamh chun stop a chur leis an gceist seo horrific.

íobartaigh foréigean baile níos minice ná a bhraitheann nach bhfuil aon áit a sheal. Ní féidir le go leor daoine a thuiscint cén fáth fanacht íospartaigh sa chás seo. Níl sé chomh simplí agus an-deacair a mhíniú le duine riamh a bhfuil taithí acu foréigean teaghlaigh.

Tá cuid mhór den cheist íogair a dhéanamh leis an staid mheabhrach ar intinn. Abusers tionchar an-mhór i bhformhór na gcásanna a bhfuil mí-úsáid intinne, chomh maith le mí-úsáid fhisiciúil agus mheabhrach a bhfuil mí-úsáid más rud é nach dochar díreach mar níos mó ná mí-úsáid fhisiciúil.

I gcás roinnt íospartach, a dteaghlaigh droim a thabhairt orthu mar nach dtuigeann siad. Tá roinnt íospartach ashamed duine ar bith a rá agus a roinnt íospartach bhfuil ach ró-scanraithe dhuine ar bith a insint agus tá sé seo ar staid na n-aigne abuser, tugadh isteach orthu.

Ach is í an tsaincheist anseo ... Níl a stopadh é atá ag éirí níos measa bliain i ndiaidh bliana. An Ríocht Aontaithe arna dtionscnamh i pionóis dian chun srian a chur leis an mí-úsáid agus a dhéanann an fórsa póilíneachta a ghlacadh anois foréigean baile an-dáiríre ach ní chuireann sé dhíspreagadh. Íospartaigh nach bhfuil fós mothú sábháilte agus slán leis na póilíní tacaíocht taobh thiar dóibh.

Tá an t-íospartach a fhios beidh siad ag 100% sábháilte má fhágann siad nó glaoch ar na póilíní, is gá iad a fhios a dteaghlaigh a bheith sábháilte mar theaghlaigh úsáidtear uaireanta mar lever do na mí-úsáideoir. Is oileán Chipir an-bheag agus b'fhéidir go n-íospartach a lán daoine eile a bhfuil eagla ar cad a rá agus a fachtóir eile freisin a bheith cothrom é nuair a d'fhéadfadh tú a bheith i ndáiríre sábháilte amach ó do abuser anseo.

Ní amháin go foréigean baile mór pionós diana, foireann le taithí agus na bearta leordhóthanacha i bhfeidhm ach freisin go bhfuil feasacht an phobail ina thosaíocht, is gá an mí-úsáideoirí a bhraitheann nach bhfuil náire ar an íospartach. Ní mór Teaghlaigh tacaíocht a thabhairt don íospartach nach pionós a ghearradh orthu do rud nach dtuigeann siad.

Tá sé gur ceist an-chasta, agus íogair nach mbeidh a théann amach nó is féidir iad a bhrú faoi an urláir. Daoine bás gach bliain ó fhoréigean baile tá a bheith bealaí seo a stopadh. Leanfaimid ar aghaidh ag scríobh faoin gceist seo mar ba mhaith linn buíochas a fheiceáil dul chun cinn mór sa réimse seo áit a bhfuil cabhair ag teastáil marbh ag go leor.

Maoin Dlíodóirí sa Chipir - Analyze - cainteanna síochána Chipir

Níl aon nuacht dearfach a insint duit labhairt ar an tsíocháin Chipir's eisiúint! Shíl muid go mór an dul chun cinn a bhí á dhéanamh agus go raibh gach iarracht á ídithe idir an 2 ceannairí an Chipir, ach tuarascálacha le déanaí a thaispeáint go bhfuil siad níos dlúithe ar chor ar bith a réiteach.

na Náisiún Aontaithe a bhí ceaptha Phríomh Chosc ar Thrialacha Kimoon freastal ar 3 chruinniú bhealach leis an 2 ceannairí Márta ach tá le feiceáil gur cuí iad a chur siar go dtí seo mar gheall ar an easpa dul chun cinn a rinneadh, go dtí Meitheamh nuair a tá súil againn go mbeidh rud éigin a leagan ar an mbord.

Cosc Tá rabhadh cé nach bhfuil aon spriocdhátaí éigeantach na náisiún aontaithe a chaith cuid mhór ama ar an gceist Chipir agus tá sé seo de thuras na huaire ídithe agus beidh teacht go luath chun deireadh a d'fhéadfadh a chiallaíonn cainteanna síochána teacht ar deireadh stagnant.

Is í an cheist atá ann faoi láthair saoránacht mhídhleathach. Go leor Tuircis, den chuid is mó Coirdis, ní mór do shaoránaigh socraithe sa Tuircis dTuaisceart Poblacht na Cipire, gan dul tríd na bealaí ceart dlíthiúil. Molann an Gréigis Cipire ceannaire go mbeadh líon áirithe díobh chun fanacht agus na daoine eile a thugtar dreasachtaí a fhágáil. Mar sin féin Maíonn, an Tuircis Cipire cheannaire ann go bhfuil na lonnaitheoirí Tuircis anseo go dlíthiúil. Mar a sheasann sé lonnaitheoirí Tuircis tá dhá oiread ná cónaitheoirí iarbhír Tuircis Cipire.

Táimid tar éis a léamh le déanaí go bhfuil an Famagusta théann aon Beidh crios a athoscailt do ghnó agus a thabhairt ar ais do lena háitritheoirí bunaidh. Is céim gur shíl mé go mbeadh seó de mheon macánta, ón Tuirc chun réiteach a aimsiú. Ach ... linn nach féidir a fheiceáil i ndáiríre seo ag tarlú. Ní féidir linn a fheiceáil réiteach ar na saincheisteanna atá á Cipire aimsithe. B'fhéidir nach bhfuil sa saol ár gcuid ama ar aon nós!

nach Beimid seilbh ár breathes do cheachtar a athoscailt Famagusta nó Chipir athaontaíodh mar atá le gach mór-shaincheisteanna a gcaithfear aghaidh a anseo sa Chipir moill chuid lárnach de shaol an Chipir agus táimid ag súil aon níos fearr.

Dlíodóirí sa Chipir - polasaithe cánach Todhchaí - Athbhreithniú.

Tá go leor ceisteanna ar siúl sa Chipir agus an AE i dtaca le cánacha agus easnaimh tíre. Cé go bhfuil an Chipir agus an AE bealaí a aimsiú chun dul i ngleic le heasnaimh diúltach, is cuma cén bealach téann siad go bhfuil sé an pobal atá ag dul a íoc.

Tá bille nua a bhfuil aghaidh á tabhairt a bheidh mar a labhairt déanta againn ar thaiscí bainc cánach. Tá an banc brabúis mar atá sé faoi chosaint, é sin a cheapann tú i ndáiríre na bainc ag dul go dtí an chos bhille cánach? Beidh Níl sé ar an tomhaltóir a Foots an bille a thabharfaidh reportedly i breise € 50 - € 60 milliún ar an rialtas.

Iasachta atá cheana féin in aice le rátaí úis dodhéanta agus sa Chipir atá ar cheann de na airde san AE. Cáin a ghearradh ar an tomhaltóir anois, a bhfuil an méid a bheadh boils síos, bheith tubaisteach. Go deimhin le muirir curtha beaga anuas tá an bhainc a chur i ngníomh nach bhfuil sé ag íoc leis an tomhaltóir a bainc úsáid níos mó. Beidh go leor daoine teacht ar áiteanna sábháilte malartacha le haghaidh a n-airgead tirim mar an gcóras baincéireachta Ní féidir a bheith iontaofa díreach níos mó.

Ar an saincheist eile a bhfuil an tAontas Eorpach ag féachaint ar an mbeartas cánach íseal corparáideach Chipir tairiscintí. Ag ach 10% ag an Chipir ar cheann de na polasaithe cánach is ísle san U agus tá sé seo ar líne a saol a Chipir gnó nua a tharraingt agus infheistíochta. Tóg amach seo agus cad a dhéanaimid?

Tá a bhfuil rud éigin go beag breise a mhealladh infheisteoirí thar lear, a thairiscint againn ansin cant rátaí ísle úis baincéireachta agus tá muid cinnte a thairiscint dóibh cant gníomhas teidil éifeachtach beartais a fhágáil ar a laghad dúinn ár bpolasaí a luacháil agus a bhfuil géarghá leo cánachais 10%.

Athdhearbhaíonn againn agus is breá linn ár n-oileán agus tá an-bhródúil as gnéithe agus os cionn an ghealach ar an dul chun cinn na forbartha infheistíocht, tá go leor ceisteanna a bhfuil an-díomá agus tá súil againn ach is féidir leis an bpobal a chur ar an brú airgeadais a bhreathnaíonn a bheith ag teacht ár slí?

Dlíodóirí Maoin sa Chipir - Athbhreithniú - hagóidí Tuircis

Cypriots Tuircis ghlac na sráideanna arís in agóid cairdiúil, ach le fearg ina gcroí.

Bhí sé seo mar agóid atá pleanáilte a thaispeáint Tuirc agus a n-cheannaire na Cipire Tuircis go bhfuil siad ag iarraidh a thuilleadh a bheith faoi ordóg Turcaithe, siad a thuilleadh ag iarraidh a bheith ag cloí le rialacha Turcaithe agus tá siad a thuilleadh ar mian leo cónaí faoi chois.

Tuirc bheidh forchurtha roinnt ciorruithe cáináisnéise a dteastaíonn breis agus tríocha míle forcing Cypriots Tuirce a tharraingt le chéile agus a seasamh a dhéanamh.

Áirítear ar na bearta iachall ar an Cypriots Tuircis laghduithe rialtas na Tuirce tuarastal, pinsean cáin a ghearradh agus laghdú ar an teorainn ioncaim neamh-incháinithe faoi 7%.

Aontaíodh ar na bearta a bheidh formheasta ag an gceannaire Cipire Tuirce agus deirtear go gcaithfear na ciorruithe a chur i bhfeidhm ar shlí eile d'fhéadfadh an TRNC aghaidh féimheacht faoi dheireadh na bliana.

An Cypriots Tuircis freisin feargach nach bhfuil an rialtas seasamh suas go dtí an Tuirc agus aontaíonn leis na rialacha agus na rialacháin a fhorchur siad!

Ní bhaineann na Cypriots Tuircis ag iarraidh a bheith rialaigh níos mó ar mian leo a saol ar ais, ba mhaith leo a bheith neamhspleách agus tá siad ag iarraidh chomh maith le daoine ar an rialtas go bhfuil dul chun breathnú amach ar a muintir.

Tá na ceisteanna a scéal reoccurring i roinnt tíortha eile i láthair na huaire, agus cé go bhfuil na hagóidí cairdiúil siad ag fáil níos mó agus níos mó agus níos mó agus níos mó na Tuirce Cypriots atá léim ar bord.

Cuireann Poblacht na Cipire á blamed fós do na outbursts, cé go bhfuil ar bith a dhéanamh leis na saincheisteanna seo.

Is é an rud go bhfuil an Tuirc dhéanamh iad féin, agus má Túinéis, an Éigipt, agus Libia tá aon rud le dul ag Tuircis Cipire Erdogan gur chóir a bheith ag féachaint ar cad iad a chuid daoine ag rá.

Mar sin, cad is brí leis don Chipir ar ina n-iomláine agus conas seo difear do na Polaitíochta Chipir fhadhb?

Inis dúinn do chuid smaointe ba bhreá linn cloisteáil ó na Gréige agus na Tuirce pobail na Cipire?

Comhairleoirí Dlí i Paralimni - Staidéar - hagóidí Túinéis

Is tír álainn Túinéis san Afraic Thuaidh agus an-tóir ag na mílte turasóirí cuairt gach bliain.

Mar sin féin, bhí an Túinéis déanaí agóidí ag náisiúnaigh feargach frustrated a tháinig leis an riail a iarann an uachtarán Zine-Al-Abidne Ben Ali.

One fear dóiteáin a leagtar imparticular dó féin tar éis a bheith cosc ar fhás bia a dhíol sa bhaile ar an tsráid, a bhealach go raibh sé seo ach ag déanamh airgid.

Ón eachtra erupted agóidí a bhaineann leis dífhostaíochta i measc an phobail. Lean an agóidí a scaipeadh a bhaint amach príomhchathair na Túinéis eadhon Túinis. Tá sé seo i gcónaí áit shábháilte a infheistiú agus saoire.

An agóidí, áfach, dul ar aghaidh fhoirtil nuair a d'oscail póilíní dóiteáin gunna ar an protestors in éiric a thuilleadh a choimeád leis na hagóidí síochánta amháin!

Maraíodh an 80 measta daoine sa agóidí scaipeadh leathan.

Cad a thosaigh mar agóid shíochánta mar gheall ar an easpa fostaíochta sin a iompú isteach i agóid sléibhte ag náisiúnaigh feargach agus repressed, ag déanamh agóide cearta polaitiúla, éilliú póilíneachta agus i dtéarmaí bunúsacha an mana ag méadú i gcónaí 'saibhir ag fáil níos saibhre agus na mbocht ag éirí níos measa'. Creidtear go mór go bhfuil an t-uachtarán ach gur chabhraigh an saibhir agus boichte i ngach bliain a rialú.

Sheas an protestors a gcuid talún agus theastaigh an Uachtarán chun dlús a chur síos agus ar láimh thar a chumhacht chun comhlacht a rialaíonn a thacaíonn leis na ranganna ar fad.

Thóg an t-uachtarán uachtaránacht i 1987 agus i ngach a 24 bliain a bhíonn i bhfeidhm ar an gheilleagar tá sé ag fás ar luas seasta, ach sheas sé síos ar an ú 14 Eanáir, 2011 agus d'fhág an tír féin agus a mhuintir agus chuaigh sé chun Araib Shádach.

Cad a thosaigh mar agóid simplí thar phléasc saincheisteanna eacnamaíochta agus rialú na bliana dar críoch 24 ... Téann seo a thaispeáint don phobal nach bhfuil tacaíocht síos.

Táimid ag féachaint ar seo níos mó agus níos mó, go bhfuil an pobal feargach ag a n-stáit, tá roinnt mhaith saoirse pholaitiúil, ba mhaith liom roinnt deireadh a chur póilíní éillithe, agus gach duine nach mian le tacaíocht a thabhairt do na ranganna ar fad hamháin ar an saibhir.

Tá na huaire éadóchasach agus má tá aon duine ag éisteacht nó ag cuidiú leis na daoine ansin beidh bearta éadóchasach i réim ar deireadh thiar.

Is féidir le Mura bhfuil do stáit agus a ceannairí ag éisteacht le daoine a bheith ag súil go mór linn dóibh a n-aire a thabhairt do rialtas?

Lawyers in Cyprus – Review – Eastern Middle Protests

Cyprus tourism is set to sour this summer due to the recent unrest and protest in the Middle Eastern countries.

Many tour operators who usually offer these North African/Arab countries as a holiday destination are now recommending Cyprus along with a few other chosen countries as alternative to these restless states that are experiencing the protests.

Russia for example is just one of the countries where many holidays have been cancelled due to the unrest, which means not only are we already expecting millions of Russian tourists this year but we will also extra on top of this.

Cyprus tour operators are seeing up to a 30% rise in holiday makers due to the unrest!

The UK tourism market appears to be stable which can be seen as a positive as last year saw a significant drop and the UK tour operators are actually not offering Cyprus as an alternative holiday destination, which means the UK holiday makers are coming here of their own choice and not because of the protesting…this is a good sign.

It would be wrong to say we are happy about the rise in tourism due to the surrounding circumstances of the rise, but yes it will help the Cyprus economy.

On the other hand with the protests spreading like wild fire this could easily affect the whole of the Mediterranean at any given time putting us on the danger zone list.

For those of you who are looking to book your holiday abroad the Cyprus Government has issued warnings not to travel to the following places:-

An Éigipt

An Túinéis

Libia

An tSúdáin

Éimin

Bairéin

Maracó

An Ailgéir

You may even think even want to think about holidaying at home in sunny Cyprus this year!

Paralimni Legal Consultants – Review – Protests

After the African protests came the Tunisia protests, then came the Egyptian protests from these it has escalated to

  • Bairéin
  • Libia
  • Éimin
  • Iraqi

Some protests violent, some peaceful but all want the same thing

  • Political freedom
  • Clean police forces
  • Equal support for all classes

Several presidents have stepped down after decades of ruling and re-elections are taking place to find a peoples government. Not a president who can buy his presidency!

The world is tired, frustrated and oppressed and they are making a stand and in some cases certainly being heard.

We here in Cyprus are seeing the Turkish Cypriots also making their voices heard, albeit slightly different circumstances but still the same none the less, oppression, poverty, political freedom.

The Egyptians recently took part in a celebration march with over one million people taking to the streets rejoicing in the fact that there long ruling president has now stepped down and a new peoples president is to soon be elected.

All of the above issues must be addressed and quickly as anti government movements as we have seen here in all these places are becoming stronger and this course of action is spreading like wild fire.

Paralimni Lawyers – Review – Protests

Anti-Government protests have completely escalated in the country of Libya causing concern for major civil war. What begun as friendly protest has now become very violent?

After the unrest in Egypt and Tunisia many other countries are now following the same pattern with many of the countries nationals coming together to make sure their voices are heard.

President Gaddafi however, has not taken lightly to the protests and has no intentions of giving up his 41 years ruling over the country, unlike the presidents the presidents in Tunisia and Egypt who have stepped down.

There have been reports of shootings and bombings by the Libyan government and foreign countries are now getting ready to intervene, but they have been warned not to get involved in Libya's current situation as the Libyan forces will defend themselves!!!

President Gaddafi obviously wants to handle this as he sees fit no matter of the consequences to the Libyan people, believing he has enough support to put a stop to the civil unrest.

The death toll in Libya is reported to be 300 and rising. The situation is looking very bleak. Over 300 Cypriot workers and other EU nationals based in Libya had been transported out of the country as their safety was being put in jeopardy.

This was also the case in Egypt and Tunisia infact all the countries which are now experiencing civil unrest at the moment has seen to it that all Cypriot and EU nationals were evacuated to safety and our airports have been on constant high alert ready to receive the grief stricken locals.

The governments are fully ware that continuous unemployment, along with religious and political repression after so many years will in no doubt take its toll and lead to civil unrest, maybe even civil was so why sit on these issues for so long unaddressed?

What are these governments doing if not looking after their countries people …all of them not just the rich!

We of course have our issues in Cyprus of which we are sure the government will hopefully, after so much uproar in nearby countries, be looking at a lot more closely.

We will no doubt see a huge rise in people coming to Cyprus to get away from their unstable country. Tourism is already on the rise so it may be only a matter before commercial and residential investment is on the rise with Cyprus having so much on the table to offer these people.

Well….we can only hope this is what we will see and not the opposite to follow suit!

Cyprus Property Lawyers – Review – Iraq protests and investments

Just when we thought things were looking up for Iraq people, civil protests have broken out which really could jeopardise this countries future.

We would have thought the Iraqi people would be rejoicing at this moment in time due to a 30 year period of war coming to a complete stop. But this is not the case!

Protestors are once again as in previous reports from Tunisia, Egypt, and Libya taking to the streets in order to remove yet another government official.

The 30 year long war has seen Iraq demolished with barely adequate living conditions and unemployment inevitably at an all time high. It has been reported that electric is only supplied for a few hours of the day and corruption is very strife!

While they have no political grievances, economic issues are forerunners for the protests!

While we understand the nature of the protests and the urgency we also wonder if they are only hurting the country more.

Now the war is over so to speak and military troops are set to leave Iraq has been a hot topic of conversation for new development and world wide investment.

All the states in Iraq have prepared there lists for new development wanting for worldwide tenders to be put forward so why begin such forward so why begin such unrest now.

We wonder if the protests will endanger such progression taking place and stop investment interest from coming forward.

Realistically you have to wonder if this country will ever see peace or even if they want peace?

Everyone would like to see the Iraq people experience a new rebuilt country and economy. Everyone wants to see the Iraq people be able to live a comfortable life with good jobs at least give this a chance to happen.

At the same time we do not live in such conditions so who are we to say what the Iraqi people are experiencing.

Tell us you're thought on the matter we would welcome any views from our readers.

Property lawyers in Cyprus – review – Iraq Investment

Iraq is the new country on the block for investment! For over 30 years this country has seen nothing but war and death. This is now over and all militaries are getting ready to leave and for those that remain life can only get better.

The war has left nothing but devastation and now it is time after 30 solid years of war to rebuild this country bigger and better than ever before.

Iraq is actually a sitting gold mine being one of the biggest oil producers in the world. Now it is time for the Iraqi Nationals to take full advantage of this!

One Cypriot Company has already secured a huge deal to build 30,000 houses, hospitals, schools and mosques. They have also put in a tender for restoring Sadam Husseins palace (Iraq's previous president) and turning it in to a tourist complex.

Investment opportunities in Iraq are endless as there is nothing left in the country. Therefore, residential and commercial investment is desperately needed from world-wide investors.

Iraqi Nationals are living in derelict houses and poverty what more can we say! The need for residential housing and commercial and industrial investment is very high. Grants are being given to the Iraqis for housing and more jobs are becoming available. But a whole new country starting from scratch is what we are looking at here.

It could be said that these investors are making money from the very sad devastation and death these people have experienced for so long. However, for the remaining nationals it is very important to recuperate there economy, bring in foreign investment and rebuild there country and help them build a brand new life, and to be fair after all this time they deserve this!

Each of the 18 states in Iraq are preparing lists for future projects of which world wide investors will be welcomed to put forward there tenders.

We really wish the best for the Iraqi Nationals, they more than deserve a new life and we are going to hear many good and positive things about this country for a long time to come.

Lawyers in Paralimni – Review – Utility Bills

Once again the issue of utility bills are in the tabloids. Consumers are being charged extortionate rates for electricity bills and not the entire electric bill is for the use of electric.

We are also paying for the lack of effort from the government towards the European Unions sanction on carbon emission targets and other renewable energy taxes!

We did say the public would foot the bill for these fines and that is exactly what has happened.

Cyta is also under scrutiny again for there high land line charges and have been asked by the government to reduce these charges. If this fails to happen they will only be cutting off there noses to spite their face as many homes will cancel their contracts which already being seen more and more of late.

It will not be long before the water bills also rise we expect and this will just be the icing on the cake.

2 people sharing a 2 bed apartment are receiving electric bills of approximately €200.00, this is approximately €25.00 a week.

What has happened here? This is unacceptable! The UK is not even that expensive and that's saying something as the UK is renowned its high utility bills.

These are government related departments and the government must 100% address these issues, now more than ever!

We have seen a rise in petrol, food, medicines, and electric but we haven't seen a rise in salaries!

Are we also heading for civil action here? How much more will the public take?

We can however praise the government for there consistency to address the pensions and salaries of governmental staff, which is also mentioned in the tabloids again and is being taken seriously.

And so it should be given that they receive 3 x pension allowances and also get promoted near there retirement time just to increase the amount of pension they receive. This is ludacis and should be against the law! So we for one will be happy when this issue is finalized.

With parts of the world seeing so much civil unrest it is definitely time to start looking out for the people, especially the less fortunate ones!

Tell us your views on this issue we would like to hear from our readers.

Cyprus Lawyers – Studies – Buy-to Let Scheme

To combat the economies financial unrest and help give first time buyers a chance to get on the mortgage ladder in Cyprus a new concept has been introduced called 'Rent to Buy' scheme.

Currently to be able to buy property in Cyprus you must have 30% deposit plus solicitors fees, it is virtually impossible in these times of unrest to even acquire a small loan without 2 Cypriot guarantees.

The Rent-to-Buy scheme allows buyers to choose a property, put only a 5% deposit down and live in the property! The buyer can live in the property for 5 years paying rent of which will then be deducted from the original sale price.

There are advantages for the buyer and the seller. The buyer has 5 years to get the rest of the deposit together and get all their finances in order, while also paying some of the cost off the sale price. The seller can use the rent money to pay the mortgage and is also exempt from capital gains tax and other expenses.

At the moment this is only available on certain properties making investment limited and maybe not what the buyer really wants but it is an affordable way to get on the property ladder especially for the young and first time buyers.

The recent economic crisis has forced many schemes to come in to action to try and keep the markets moving. We have seen Fractional Ownership, Self Invested Personal Pensions, Recovery Scheme and now the Rent-to-Buy scheme.

Each concept has had its fair share of criticism but all seem to be keeping the markets moving. We are yet to see where the Rent-To-Buy scheme will rate along side the rest of the schemes, but we will certainly investigate further and let our readers know our honest thoughts on the matter.

Legal Office in Cyprus – Studies – Paphos Marina – Completed on 10 th March 2011. Cyprus Lawyers A&G KOUZALI LAW OFFICE http://www.lawcyprus.org/

More delays are now expected with regards to the new Marina in Paphos!

When the Paphos people thought things could not get any worse it just did.

Paphos is one of the coastal towns struggling to stay alive with many businesses closing down and many foreign nationals packing up and going home.

One of our colleagues took a walk down one of the main tourists streets in Paphos and counted 73 commercial properties closed down…not just for summer but for good!

And now with further delays on the marina along with other developments the future is looking very bleak…that may even be an understatement.

The tenders for this marina have been in motion since 2005. We are now in 2011 and still no closer to a new marina.

2 consortiums are battling it out in the Supreme Court with appeals and it could be another 6 months before a decision is made on which consortium will win the battle. This means it will be over 6 months before work will even begin on the marina.

A proposal was put forward a year ago for the 2 consortiums to work together on the marina however agreements could not be made satisfactorily, hence still no marina as yet.

Paphos has so much beauty and so much to offer and the plans for the marina we have to say look very impressive and once it is built Paphos residents will with no doubt at all reap the rewards.

We really hope the marina and other developments get underway sooner rather than later. In fact we hope this for all development in Cyprus.

Paphos really deserve and need some good luck!

Lawyers in Cyprus – Studies – Drug Strategy – Completed on 8 th March 2011.

About to be discussed in the House of Parliament is the decriminalization of narcotics.

This is a very controversial subject that that has been discussed many times on other countries but has never come to fruition. There are too many arguments for and against for any agreement ever to be made.

It is zero tolerance in Cyprus with regards to drugs, but realistically that means nothing to drug addicts or to the drug dealers. In fact most countries are zero tolerance but it does not and never will stop the drugs.

If a drug addict wants drugs he will get them by hook or by crook and there will always be a drug dealer to give a help in hand.

We have been very lucky in Cyprus if you compare to places like the UK and the USA just for example. Drugs in these countries are rife, which in return leads to drug houses, prostitution, gangs and gun crime, even murder is a common occurrence and nothing out of the ordinary now.

If you look at the issue no matter how much energy, time and money the police put in to the drug issue, it has not worked, it does not work and it never will work. The UK and USA are prime examples of this.

We do not condone drugs, it is a very sad and painful path to follow, not just for the drug addict but for their families and also for the people they will inevitably end up committing a crime against to feed their habit.

However, putting the drug dealers out of business would be a rejoiceful day! They pray on the weak, they make money of ruining people's lives and the money they make either fund other criminal activities or help them live a very luxurious life.

Decriminalizing drugs would take this power away from the drug dealer and the drug user would be more protected and are not supported, when they could be receiving proper treatment.

It is a good time to look at the drug issue in Cyprus, as this issue although on the rise is still quite tame so to address the issue now would be perfect before it does get out of hand and many drug deaths and crime become a lot more apparent.

For this strategy to work however there must be major preparation, education, adequate facilities and fully trained staff in each area to be able to deal with this sensitive procedure.

Many will agree and disagree on this subject but if nothing we have done already has worked maybe it really is time for a change of tactics.

Tell us your views on this subject we know many of you will have very strong ones!
