Dear Distinguished Client,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for putting your trust in us, and assure you of our continuing support and assistance. In our quest to provide you with the best possible representation we have further expanded our Company Profile, and as a valuable member of our family, we would like to inform you of the recent changes at A & G KOUZALI LAW OFFICE.

Due to this expansion, we have recruited new members of staff .You can now see our whole team on our website www.lawcyprus.org or meet them in person on your next visit to Cyprus.

Our office is now a member of Greenpeace.  We have already taken some ecological decisions, to recycle our paper, bottles and cans.  We also donated 100 small trees to the Paralimni municipality for planting in the local area.  Further to that, are sending this letter by an email (where possible) in order to save paper and protect the environment.

In May 2009, our Law Firm was given the prestigious honor of being included on the British High Commission’s list of Lawyers. The List is available on the High Commission’s website and is provided to British Nationals who run into legal difficulties when in Cyprus. They then choose a lawyer for legal advice and/or to represent them in Court. The High Commission never recommends a particular lawyer in order to maintain complete impartiality, but limits the list to a level of quality they are happy to recommend. Since May, our practice has taken several criminal cases representing British Nationals in Court.

Furthermore, A & G KOUZALI LAW OFFICE is one of the few Law Firms in Cyprus who are members of the Association for International Property Professionals (AIPP). All members of the AIPP agree to abide by a code of conduct which protects property purchaser’s interests. Our Law Office has been a member of the AIPP for some time now and we are pleased to announce that Mr. Kouzalis has been appointed as a primary adjudicator for the AIPP Disciplinary Panel.

One type of legal service which has increased is the handling of companies going in administration. We have been appointed administrators for one major property developing company in Xylofagou / Larnaca (SNK Venus & SNK Exclusive) and our task is to save the company by delivering the houses to all clients that bought from them and try to make all payments to contractors and sub-contractors.  It is a difficult task and a real challenge for our office. At this stage three members of our staff are devoting most of their time for this administration process.

In addition, our office has recently begun tribunals at the European Court of Justice regarding the properties of Cypriot refugees located in the Northern part of Cyprus. These tribunals concern the illegal possession of Cypriot properties and the refusal of the basic and fundamental human right of each person to possess and enjoy their property freely and peacefully. (See the Apostolides Vs Orams Final Decision, London 19th January 2010 English Court of Appeal)

The final area of development within our Law practice is that of Corporate Services. Due to low taxation, location and market value, we are experiencing an increase in the establishment of new companies, handling incorporation, certificate changes, and corporate power of attorney. This growing trend is expected to continue as many more people see the advantages of setting up business here in Cyprus

After request from our clients, our law firm now also provides a wider range of services including auditing and bookkeeping (vat services) to companies or individuals that live either in Cyprus or abroad.

We invite all of you to visit our website and find out more about our new profile and company expansion.

So as 2010 begins, we would like to thank you once again for helping to make our Law Office one of the most successful and respected here in Cyprus. We wish you all the best for the New Year.

Always at your service,

A & G KOUZALI LAW OFFICE
