Extended working hours for public services for the period of 18^th of May 2020 until the end of May 2020

The Tax Department informs that in the context of the implementation of the measures in order to reduce the spread of the Corona Virus disease has proceeded to special arrangements for the public services to avoid overcrowding.

These special arrangements concern the period of 18^th of May until the end of May 2020 in which, except from the daily services (8:30-14:30), there will be an extended working hour for public services every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 14:30-17:3 in specific places, as follows:

• Payment of debts and receipt/delivery of documents of direct taxation

The payment of overdue debts and the receipt/delivery of documents from and to the department will take place to the District offices of tax collection except the Famagusta District office in which it will be only the receipt and delivery of documents and not the payment of debts.

• Receipt and delivery of VAT documents

The receipt and delivery of VAT documents will take place to the District office of the VAT department.

• VAT Exemption certificates (diplomatic missions and international organisations)

The receipt of applications and the delivery of the related certificates will take place to the VIMA department offices in Katsoni 29, Nicosia, 5th floor.

It is noted that that visits to the offices are allowed only in cases where it is not possible to serve by phone or by sending electronic emails, according to the announcement of the Department dated 30/04/2020.
